Concerned with the political hypocrisy and division made commonplace in modern America and perpetuated by the media. According to the Right and Left’s political biases and sources, the work builds an accumulated environment of these images, created in blue and red. Arranged into two murals in the same space on the panels creating a double-exposure image. When the viewer looks through one of the lenses of the sculpture, they will be presented with one political view of the world. An analogy for our own experience selectively filtering out views that do not fit with our own. Many people are no longer able to see the situation from the perspective of their inverse. Two different realities within the same country, so starkly different that each group demonizes the other unthinkingly. Without the ability to see the other side, we are unable to see the entire mess and unable to begin to resolve our issues.
